PSYD
PsyD in Clinical Psychology
Only a bachelor’s is required to apply to the PsyD, where students focus on psychological science and clinical skills to prepare for the real-world.
Classes go beyond just tests and quizzes. It starts with a foundation in psychological theory and science, but behind each class is practice for real-world application of clinical skills. By year five’s clinical trials, our students are prepared to take on the challenges of diverse patients and settings.
With courses such as Racial, Ethnic & Cultural Diversity, and Social Basis of Behavior, the PsyD program emphasizes training culturally-competent mental health professionals. This way, our students can go on to serve communities in high demand for mental health professionals.
As we emphasize clinical skills, internships are required to become a licensed psychologist. At PHSU, students are required to serve 2,000 clinical hours to earn their degrees. Our team matches students with placements in the local area so they can finish their degrees.

Welcome to the Master of Science in Medical Sciences program, a powerful health sciences program that parallels the first year of medical school in curriculum and intensity. If you’re passionate about becoming a physician or working in healthcare, PHSU St. Louis is the place for you.
Every year, about 30,000 students are rejected from medical schools in America, but many of those students haven’t been given the tools to help them reach their goals. Often, these same students are from backgrounds that are historically-underrepresented in medical school.
We see the potential in every student to reach their goals in healthcare and go on to serve their communities with culturally-competent care.
Our one-of-a-kind student analytics and dynamic classroom play a major role, allowing us to monitor student performance and progress in real-time. By collecting student responses, we generate insights into how students will perform on USMLE Board exams and help align their future career in healthcare with topical strengths.
At PHSU St. Louis, in just one short year, we can help you get where you want to go in healthcare. We look forward to seeing you in our classrooms.
