A Master’s Curriculum Identical to the First Year of Medical School

Each course in the Master of Science in Medical Sciences (MSMS) program is designed to improve the credentials of its students for entry into medical school and other professional health schools.

We do this with a science-based, one-year core curriculum that mirrors the first year of LCME-accredited medical school curriculum, so students are ready for what’s ahead.

The MSMS consists of 11 courses in a broad range of sciences totaling 42 credit hours. The MSMS program on the St. Louis campus as well as the MSMS Remote program consist of two full-time semesters, while the online MSMS is made up of five part-time semesters.

The MSMS courses include:

  • Anatomy
  • Histology & Cell Biology
  • Neuroscience
  • Medical Biochemistry
  • Physiology
  • Health Disparities
  • Medical Ethics
