PHSU St. Louis Scholarships

The School of Medicine Scholastic Achievement Scholarship AY 2023-24 is offered to the top 25% class ranking students, by campus, who complete the application by the deadline. The award is up to $2,000 and is distributed in the 2024 Spring semester. This scholarship cannot exceed the student’s current cost of attendance and may require a reduction in loans to qualify. Students must meet satisfactory academic progress standards and must demonstrate financial need as determined by the 2023-24 FAFSA form. Cannot have an Expected Family Contribution (EFC) that exceeds 6656 to be considered financially needy. This scholarship does not automatically renew. If eligible, students must reapply when the application is opened for future academic years. Awards are determined by availability of funds.
The School of Behavioral and Brain Sciences Scholastic Achievement Scholarship is offered to students who have a GPA of 3.50 and complete the application by the deadline. The award is up to $2,000. This scholarship cannot exceed the student’s yearly cost of attendance and may require a reduction in loans to qualify. Students must meet satisfactory academic progress standards and must demonstrate financial need as determined by the FAFSA form. Cannot have an Expected Family Contribution (EFC) that exceeds 6656 to be considered financially needy. This scholarship does not automatically renew. The Away Rotations Boarding Scholarship is offered to the School of Medicine 3rd and 4th year students who were accepted into away rotations with Wyckoff, Christiana Health, or Northwell. Applications must be submitted by the established deadline to be considered. The award is up to $5,000 and is distributed in the 2024 Spring Semester. Students must have been accepted into the away rotation with one of the previously named locations and must receive an endorsement from the Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs as validation of acceptance. Students must also submit evidence of acceptance into the away rotation. This scholarship cannot exceed the student’s current cost of attendance and may require a reduction in loans to qualify.
The Early Enrollment Scholarship is offered to new students who validate their enrollment between January 15, 2024, and February 15, 2024. The list of qualified early enrollments is provided by the Admissions department and is only awarded in the first semester/trimester/quarter that the student enrolls. The scholarship is for a total of $1,500 and will be awarded based on the availability of funds. No application is necessary. Some exclusions apply. The New Student Opportunity Scholarship is offered to the first 38 students who enroll into the International Master of Public Health Online program. The list of qualified recipients is provided by the Admissions department. Students will receive a scholarship up to 20% of the cost of tuition and fees for each quarter. Students must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) to remain eligible for this scholarship. If at any time the student is recommended to the promotions committee for SAP reasons, the student will lose this scholarship for all future quarters and there will be no reconsideration or appeal to regain eligibility. The Top Educational Option Relocation Scholarship is offered to new non-resident students who enroll early and meet all admissions requirements as established by their program. Non-resident students can qualify for up to $3,000 which is ideal for relocation. The list of qualified recipients is provided by the Admissions department. The scholarship will be awarded based on the availability of funds. There are four levels of awards based on specific enrollment periods.

The Deans Achievement Award is offered to 11 new minority students who are focused on becoming ethical practitioners and scientists through the innovative adaptive learning environments offered at PHSU. Students can qualify for up to $3,000. Students must have a GPA of 3.40 on a 4.0 grading scale and must demonstrate financial need as determined by the FAFSA form. The list of partially qualified recipients is provided by the Admissions department and validated by the Office of Financial Aid. No application is necessary. The MSMS Financial Opportunity Scholarship is offered to all new students enrolled into the Master of Science in Medical Sciences (MSMS) Online program. The list of qualified recipients is provided by the Admissions department. Students will receive a scholarship up to 20% of the cost of tuition and fees for each semester. Students must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) to remain eligible for this scholarship. The BSN Financial Opportunity Scholarship is offered to all new students enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) who have a high school GPA of 3.40 on a 4.0 grading scale and demonstrate financial need as determined by the FAFSA form. Students will receive a scholarship up to 20% of the cost of tuition and fees for each quarter. The list of partially qualified recipients is provided by the Admissions department and validated by the Office of Financial Aid.
