With agreements in place with clinics around St. Louis, PHSU St. Louis gives PsyD students the opportunity for real-world clinical psychology practice during the PsyD.

Clinical Practice is What Counts

Through the first four years of the PsyD program, students will train to become ethical, culturally-competent psychology practitioners through a science-based curriculum. In the fifth year, students are required to complete a pre-doctoral internship to apply their knowledge in the real-world.

With clinical practice, students are better prepared to serve diverse communities and start their careers in psychology after graduation.

PHSU St. Louis has agreements with local health facilities to place our PsyD students so they can earn their clinical hours. Each opportunity is different, so students can be placed based on their study focus and interests.

Compass Health Network

Compass Health Network is a nonprofit that aims to improve the physical and emotional health through people they serve with compassionate, quality mental health care.
